Very CAS

Good Morning.

A very simple, CAS card today.
For those of you that don't know what 'CAS' means it is a short form for Clean and Simple.
I love the style and it can be interpreted in many ways.
Today at Splitcoast, the challenge is to create a CAS card.  If that is our typical style, we are asked to dial it back even more.
So, here's what I came up with.

I began by inking my heavy weight cardstock with Peacock Feather Distress ink and an inking tool.  Next, I placed the Peacock Feathers stamp into my Misti, sprayed with water and pressed onto the paper.  Since the Distress inks are water-based, the colour lifted to reveal this gorgeous image.
Simple right?
I dried the piece with my heat gun then using my Misti again, stamped the sentiment from SSS and clear heat embossed it.  I added the black pearls for interest.

Adding my card to these challenges:

Crafty Girls Creations- ANYTHING GOES

Loves to Craft- MAY ANYTHING GOES

Inspiration Destination- ANYTHING GOES/MASCULINE

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

  1. Peacock Feathers is one of my favourite Distress Inks Karen, and I love what you have done with the water bleaching technique, and finished beautifully with the nice large sentiment and the two black pearls. x

  11. Sounds easy and yours is fantastic, Karen, but when I tried it I was disappointed. Maybe my stamps were too small.
