Hello and Welcome.
Here is a very simple card using this great stamp from Technique Junkies.
I just spent a few day at the beach so this card makes me smile with the good memories I have.
Here's how I created my card.
I began by masking my white card front with some Post-It Tape.
I then placed the paper inside my Misti, stamped the image and clear heat embossed it so it would resist the ink I was about to put over it and still shine through.
Next, I took a piece of clear acetate, rubbed some Distress Oxide inks onto it, sprayed with water and pressed the ink over my image.
I have a pictorial about how to do it here:
When the ink was dry, I removed the tape and simply mounted it over a piece of blue cardstock to match the blue background.
I think this would make a great card for a guy.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

ReplyDeletefantastic
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - it reminds me of the beach in England where all my relatives live - lots of old pier poles and sea gulls. A great masculine card.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful seascape old pier scene, Karen. I love your monochromatic blues. Stamping and heat embossing your image is an awesome emboss resist technique for your acrylic block stamping. TFS my friend and so happy you got to spend time at the beach. Hugs...
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous card creation. Wonderful scene.
ReplyDeleteStunning card - love it!

Peaceful and beautiful beach scene Karen. I can almost smell the ocean! What a great card to bring back recent memories of your time away. The acetate inking makes a gorgeous background ... especially love how it adds the colours and yet you are able to leave spaces for clouds. So perfectly done, my friend! xx
ReplyDeleteI love how the water is darker and looks so realistic with the brightening sky! Fantastic job, Karen! Makes me want to go to the beach!
ReplyDeleteWOW WOW WOW Karen I love your card, absolutely stunning. The scene is so beautiful ...
