Pink and Grey- The Flower Challenge

Good Morning.
Time for a new theme at

We are having a colour challenge this month...use Pink and Grey

So onto my card details.

I needed to make a few thank-you cards for all the wonderful Christmas gifts I received over the holidays.  My son gave me this beautiful flower stamp called Sketched Flowers and I wanted to get a chance to play with it.  It is also a great stamp to use for watercolouring as there is lots of open spaces to add colour.
I took a piece of heavy white cardstock, placed it inside my Misti and stamped the flowers into the corner.  I immediately sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat embossed as I wanted to do some watercolouring on the flowers and the EB powder helps me to be sure that the black ink won't run.
Using my Distress Oxide inks, I proceeded to watercolour the flowers by rubbing my ink pad onto a piece of acetate and picked up the ink with a wet paintbrush. I then added the grey area around the flowers and some grey to the leaves as well.  I stamped the sentiment and then added some grey Nuvo Drops.
I simply mounted that onto a piece of pink cardstock and then onto a white card base.

I hope you will come and play along with us.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
