Birthday Boy

Good Morning
I needed a card for a young man and this is what I came up with.
My starting point was this great silhouette from Flonz Stamps and my favourite blue Distress Oxide inks.

So onto my card.
I wanted to create a collage style background in a monochromatic style, leaving the image to be the star of the show.  So I inked up a piece of acetate with some Distress Oxide ink, sprayed with water and pressed it onto my white cardstock, letting it drip and run.  I find it helpful to dry the colours as it helps to layer them when using this technique.
To see my picture tutorial go here.
When that was all dry, I placed the inky piece inside my Misti and stamped the Graffiti along the one side and down along the bottom using some of the same colour I used for the bkg.  It gave me a nice edging and added interest.  I added some circles using a plastic cup I had sitting on my workspace and a small checked design to resemble a flag at a race.
When I was happy with it all, I stamped the image and the sentiment with some Tuxedo black Meemnto ink and heat embossed them with some black embossing powder.
I simply mounted it onto a white card base.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
