Good Morning.
Here is another card for
We have a fun theme this month- Use Something New.
I hope you get a chance to check out the wonderful creations by our DT's.
I decided to create a cas card (clean and simple) with this great collage style stamp from STAMPlorations called Framed Solitary Rose that I just picked up not too long ago and have never used.
So, I stamped the image onto some white cardstock using some black Memento ink in my Misti, sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat set. I stamped the image again in the same way as I wanted to cut out the flower head and add it as an overlay.
Next, I cut the first stamped piece out just along the black framed area, leaving a bit of a white border. Using my Zigs, I watercoloured the leaves and stem of the flowers and set it aside to dry.
I took the second stamped piece and watercoloured just the flower head, again using my Zigs.
I fussy cut out the flower and pop dot mounted it over the first stamped image to give the piece some dimension and interest.
I took a piece of plain white cardstock and cut out a rectangle frame and scored along the edges for interest (sorry that's hard to see in the photo). I simply glued the stamped image inside the framed area and added the whole piece to a plain white card base.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
