Good Morning
Here is a card I made using a 'leftover' piece of inky goodness.
Anytime I am playing with wet inks and have any leftovers on my non-stick craft mat, I just hate to waste it, so I always have some extra paper at hand to soak up the excess ink. That's how this card was born.
I was inking another project with some blue Distress Oxide inks in different shades, I think I was using the inks to watercolour at the time on another card. The ink left on my mat was used up by slapping my piece of white cardstock into the wet ink. Anytime I had a bit of blue left, I just kept adding it to this piece until it was covered.
I laid the Fleur Grillwork stencil from A Colorful Life Designs over the inked background and rubbed some Blueprint Sketch DOX ink over that. It gave such great interest to my piece.
Next, I place the piece into my Misti and stamped A Floral Twist from Penny Black once on the left, moved my paper then again on the right and then one more time to fill in the leftover space. I did clear heat emboss the flowers to help them pop against the background. Leaving my piece in the Misti, I then stamped the sentiment from the PB set called Special Sentiments.
To help better ground the flowers, I rubbed some Black Soot DOX ink along the bottom.
I splattered with water to lift some of the colour, then splattered white paint on as well for interest.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

I adore the sihouette flowers and lovely sentiment Karen, and the background in those pretty shades of blue is just perfect, also the bit of stencilling looks great too. x
