Hello and Welcome.
I can't believe it's August already, the summer is going way too fast!
A new month means a new theme at the
Our theme this month is Colourful Butterflies.
We are so happy to have a Guest Designer joining us too.
Guest Designer: Amy (Miss_Lomax_Art)
So onto my card details.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and masked along the edges of my card front.
Next, I placed the piece into my Misti and inked up the Shattered Glass stamp with some DOX inks, sprayed with water and pressed onto my paper. The water helps the inks move and blend together.
While that dried, I stamped the butterfly on a scrap of cardstock and used some more of the DOX inks and a wet paintbrush to watercolour it all in.
When the main panel was all dry, I stamped the flowers, then I took my ScorBug and added scored lines down each side to help define the inked area. For those of you that are not familiar with a ScorBug, it is a scoring tool that can be used with your ScorPal to add little perforated scored dots.
I placed the piece back into my Misti and stamped the sentiment, then fussy cut out the butterfly and pop dot mounted it over the inked background. I added some black gems to the butterfly body as well.
I hope you get a chance to check out the beautiful butterfly gallery and all the wonderful cards created by our most talented team!
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
