Garden Bouquet

Hello and Welcome.
You may have read my previous posts that mention I am playing along with the DTGD Challenges over at Splitcoast.  It is a yearly event with wonderful prizes and such fun challenges.
This card was created for one of those challenges.

I began with a heavy white cardstock, laid the Watercolor Stripes Stencil over my paper and rubbed on some Old Paper Distress ink.  Next, I placed another piece of heavy white into my Misti and stamped the Sketched Flowers stamp using some black ink.  I then fussy cut out the whole bouquet, eliminating a few areas I didn't want to cut out.  I stamped the flowers again but this time, I only fussy cut out the center flower.
Before I glued the large bouquet over my stenciled stripes, I stamped the sentiment, then I pop dotted the smaller blossom over the big one, giving it a more 3-D look.  I did add a bit of interest to the flower on top using my Copic markers.
I mounted it all onto a heavy white card base.

Thanks so much for taking a look.

  1. Wow Karen, this is so different from your normal style but really beautiful in the neutral tones and love the dimension and colour you have given the lily flower, and that striped background looks so pretty and complements the flowers perfectly. x
