Plaid Christmas

Good Morning.
Meet today's card.
My first holiday card made!!
It all happened while playing with this fun new stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called Watercolor Stripes.
Very simple card but I love the effect I was able to create.

So here's what I did.
I began by inking up my stencil with some Peacock Feathers Distress ink, sprayed with water and pressed onto my heavy white cardstock, giving me a Stencil Monoprint. I love the irregular lines and inking it had so I inked it up again the same way, sprayed with water and pressed the stencil in the other direction.  Voila....my plaid bkg was born!!
When the stripes were dry, I placed the piece into my Misti and stamped the branches and then stamped the simple sentiment.  To help pull the whole design together, I doodled in a border and mounted it onto a heavy white card base.

Thanks for coming by and taking a look.
