Good Morning and Welcome.
Meet my card.
Inspired by the talented Vicki Boutin. She is a fellow Canadian and I just love watching her play with inks and watercolours. I especially love her attitude towards creating; play with your products and see what you can create. She's on FB and on YouTube if you want to check her out.
That's basically what my card here was.....playing and creating.
So, I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock. I rubbed some Bundled Sage, Broken China and Stormy Sky DOX inks onto my sheet of acetate, sprayed with water and pressed onto my paper. I love the variations of colour tones you can achieve by using this technique.
I dried the piece then placed it into my Misti.
I pulled out a variety of stamps to use and my Messy Dot Grid stencil to create a collage style background for my card. (I listed all the stamps that I used at the bottom of my post) When I was happy with the look, I stamped the thistles in black then added the sentiment.
I mounted it onto a heavy white card base when dry.
To help finish it off, I rubbed some Vicki Boutin Iridescent Glaze over to give it a shimmer....sure wish you could see that in the photo!!
