Welcome
A new month means a new theme at the
This month we have a colour challenge for you to use Red and Black.
This month we welcome my talented friend Michele as our GD.
Guest Designer: Michele (I Card Everyone)
So onto my card details.
Love is in the air this month with Valentine's Day right around the corner but I decided to use those colours, commonly found with that theme, in a different way.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and placed it into my Misti.
I inked up the large snowflake by colouring directly onto my stamp with my Memento markers, sprayed with water and pressed it onto my cardstock. I repeated that process using a variety of red markers until I had a deep, rich red on my snowflakes. I turned my paper around and stamped the snowflake again at the top using the same process.
Next, I stamped the sentiment then die-cut the hemstitch border. I love the simple interest the border added to my card.
Keeping it all clean and simple, I mounted it to a heavy white card base and added a few black gems.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look and I hope you will come and play along with us.
