Woodsy Birthday

Hello and Welcome
Time to use another background from my stash and create a card.
This Winter Woodland is such a great stamp to cover the whole front of a card.
So here's what I did.

Like I mentioned above, I pulled out this background that I had in my stash.  I used some Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks and blended them onto my cardstock.  I think?.... I splattered it with water and pounced over it with a piece of wet plastic wrap to create the texture.  (I wish I would have written the technique on the back....I need to get better at doing that!)
I placed the piece into my Misti and inked up the trees with some Versafine ink and stamped.
I stamped the sentiment from the Special Sentiments set from PB.
I mounted the piece onto some white cardstock, then blue and finally to a heavy white card base.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

  13. What a fabulous card Karen! I find it so cool that you can create texture with something as simple as scrunched up plastic. It's something everyone has, I'm sure.
