Good Morning and Welcome
A super simple card today featuring these fun balloon masks from A Colorful Life Designs.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I decided to make a slimline card, so I cut the main panel 2 3/4 x 7 3/4" (finished size 3 1/2 x 8 1/2"). I placed the balloon mask onto my cardstock and rubbed on some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink with a blending brush. I cleaned off the mask and continued that process using the different colours of inks varying the heights all across the panel. (Carved Pumpkin, Festive Berries, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, Shaded Lilac)
- When I finished inking up the panel, I drew in the balloon strings with a black fine line marker.
- The panel needed something more and I thought dots would be fun, so I took out a pencil and used the eraser on the end to add them using the same above mentioned colours.
- I placed the panel into my die cutting machine and cut the 'celebrate' from the panel and set that aside.
- I cut the 'celebrate' 3 more times from some white cardstock and then glued them all together on top of each other.
- I glued the panel onto a piece of red cardstock and then glued the sentiment back into place.
- I splattered the panel with my white Posca pen and add the whit detail on the balloons.
Here are the masks I used:
