Welcome
Today's card features a background I did with some shaving cream and this great stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called Flower Head. This stencil is large and makes the perfect backdrop for stamping.
So here's what I did to create my card:
- I cut a piece of white cardstock as my front panel and positioned my stencil over that.
- Next, I got my shaving cream ready by spraying some out onto a paper plate and tinted it with some Distress Re-inkers. I used the end of a paintbrush to swirl the colours together to blend them.
- Using an old gift card, I picked up some of the tinted shaving cream and pulled that over top of the stencil.
- I removed the stencil and set aside to dry. When dry, I used a clean credit card to go back over the top of the shaving cream to remove all the excess and was left with this lovely image.
- I placed the shaving cream background into my Misti, then stamped the dragonfly and the sentiment from Visible Image with some Versafine Clair ink.
- I glued it onto a piece of white cardstock to act as a border, then onto a piece of black cardstock and then finally onto a white card base.
- Lastly, I added 3 black enamel dots just under the sentiment.
Here is the stencil I used:
