Welcome
It's April which means it's time for a new release from A Colorful Life Designs.
So happy I had a chance to play with this fun stencil called Dot Spokes.
It really makes for a fun design.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I began by getting out my Stencil Mat and positioned the Dot Spokes stencil over my piece of white cardstock. I inked it up with some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.
- When I was happy with the inking, I cut it down to a 4" square that would become my card front panel.
- Next, I cut out a circle from white cardstock and again, positioned the stencil over it being sure to center it on the circle.
- I began by inking up the center first with some Cracked Pistachio and moved outwards towards the edge using more Peacock Feathers and then some Wilted Violet DOX ink along the outer edge.
- While those pieces dried, I die cut the Happy Birthday sentiment from some black cardstock.
- I glued the inked panel onto a white card base that was 4 1/4" square, then pop dot mounted the circle over that being sure to match it up to the stenciled card front.
- I glued on the die cut sentiment and added 3 purple gems to finish it off.
Here is the stencil I used:
