Hello and Welcome
Meet Fairy Flowers....another super fun stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.
This one is another new release and makes for a very cheerful card.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I first decided how I wanted to add the flowers using the Fairy Flowers to my white card front panel. Using some Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink, I stenciled just the stems of the flowers.
- Using another piece of white cardstock, I stenciled the flowers using some Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and a hint of Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink. I added some Black Soot just to the centers of the flowers.
- I fussy cut out the flowers and set them aside so I could finish working on the main panel with the stems.
- I stamped the sentiment from High Hopes into the corner of the panel.
- Using the Simple Grid stencil, I added some random bits of inking by lightly adding some Peacock Feathers. It really helped to add interest to the background.
- Next, I splattered with my black Posca pen and let dry.
- To help give the flowers more interest, I added some black dots around the flower center with my Posca pen.
- Time to assemble....I glued the panel onto a piece of navy cardstock, then onto a heavy white card base.
- I pop dotted the fussy cut flower heads over the stems,
