Welcome
Hope you had a good week.
More newly released stencils from A Colorful Life Designs.
The owner, Mary Kay, had been coming up with so many new and innovative designs.
The two stencils I used on this card are called Overall Shells and King Tidal Wave.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I cut a piece of white cardstock and laid the King Tidal Wave stencil over it on my Make Art Station.
- I inked it up with some of my favourite colours of Distress Oxide inks: Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean and a hint of Blueprint Sketch.
- I removed the stencil and added a faint bit of inking into the white areas to make the fish more solid with some of the Peacock Feathers still left on my blending brush.
- I splattered it heavily with water to lift off some of the ink, then set is aside to dry.
- Next, I cut another piece of white cardstock and placed the Overall Shells stencil onto it.
- I sprinkled some Brushos onto my non-stick craft mat, sprayed with some water to activate and then used a baby wipe to dab the colour over the stencil. The Brushos are highly pigmented so you don't need much to get intense colour.
- While that dried, I stamped the sentiment onto the fish in my Misti.
- I glued the shells bkg onto a heavy white A2 card base, then pop dotted the fish over that.
- I pop dotted the strip sentiment under the sentiment.
Here are the stencils I used:

** I want to sincerely thank all of you that leave me such heartfelt comments. I so appreciate them. At the same time, I feel as though I owe so many of you an apology for not getting around to visit your blogs. I want to do better with that. My life of working 10 hrs with my 5 little ones is very time consuming but I want to try and better keep up with it all.
Cross your fingers for me!! lol**
