For Dad

Father's Day is quickly approaching.
Here is a quick card I made using an embossed resist and Brushos.

I began by masking a piece of heavy cardstock then stamped the shell from a Gina K set with Versamark then heat embossed with white.  I then sprinkled on some Brusho over that, sprayed with water and watched the colours emerge.  The embossing acts as a resist leaving an interesting design behind.
I then cut the piece out and scored along the edges for interest and to add some texture.
After mounting that piece to my card front, I stamped the Father's Day greeting (from the same Gina K set) with black Memento ink and drew in the black lines.

NOTE:  So many have asked about where to get the Brushos and Bister.  I got my Brusho from Amazon. I got the Bister here: http://ibrakeforstamps.com/bister.aspx

Adding my card to these challenges:

  24. Karen - Received the July Craft Stamper Monday... Congratulations on your feature as Blog Challenge Winner! Although I visit often, I never comment. Your CAS style incorporating fun techniques is something I try for but don't pull off nearly as well as you. We even have a number of the same stamps! You've provided inspiration in many ways, from using stamps I've collected over the years to buying Bister and Brushos to digging out embossing folders I forgot I had. This shells with Brushos will be CASEd... Its gorgeous!
I'm happy for you - the recognition in Craft Stamper is well deserved!
