Happy Saturday.
Calling this card 'Welcoming Spring'.
Although we are no where close to Spring here, I anxiously await it's arrival.
For me, it's magical watching all come to life and emerge from the ground.
I am using stamps from Penny Black today, to create my card.
I began by masking my white cardstock using Painter's Tape. I like to stick it onto my clothes a few times first before applying to my paper as that helps remove some of the adhesive and won't tear the paper when removed.
Next, I placed the flower stamp from PB called Lofty into my MISTI and painted on some Brushos that I had diluted with water using a paint brush and stamped. I repeated that process until I was happy with the colour on the flowers. By using my MISTI, I am able to build up the colour so easily.

I set that aside to let it dry then stamped the sentiment from the PB set called Sprinkles and Smiles and sponged the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress ink.

ReplyDeleteWonderful card, Karen! Your bkgrd and flowers are beautiful! ? If you get any of the Brushos ink on the Misti, how do you get it off? Brushos are fabulous but what I don't like about them is that they stain everything they come in contact with. :)
