Good Morning.
I have little to no time to stamp but did manage to get a card ready for our super theme at
This month we are having an 'Use a Previous Challenge' theme...fun right?!
You can find a list of our previous challenges at the blog on the top tab.
We are welcoming our guest this month, Stef Perry from 'Perry Papercrafts'.
Please come check out the wonderful inspiration by the DT's.
I just got this wonderful flower set from Altenew called Charmed so when I looked through the list of previous challenges, #11 (Focus on Background Stamping) seemed the perfect one to use with this beautiful stamp set.
I began with a watercoloured background that I had made using the Splash Watercolour Technique.
Basically what I did for this technique was to rub some Oxide inks onto a non-stick craft mat, sprayed with a bit of water and slapped my paper into the wet ink. Love how the colours blend.
Next, I placed the piece into my Misti and stamped the flowers with black ink trying to cover in as much as the background as I could. I left a bit of space to stamp the sentiment in the center then clear embossed it all with clear powder.
I took the same Distress Oxide inks that I had used on my background and watercoloured in the flowers leaving some of them open for the background to still be visible.
When it was dry, I added a few drops of Nuvo Drops to some of the open areas.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Please check out our challenge and come and play with us.
