It's Your Birthday!

Hello and Welcome
I have to say, I love how this card came out using the new for June stencil called:
from A Colorful Life Designs.

I decided to make it a masculine looking card so here's what I did.
  • I placed the Open Coils stencil on an angle over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink.
  • I wiped the stencil clean and then repositioned it slightly down and to the right.  I inked again all over using some Salty Ocean DOX ink. It created a new colour that I loved by blending those inks together.
  • I lifted the stencil off the panel and set it aside while I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting and die cut it out. I also die cut a white circle to help make the sentiment more visible over the background.
  • I glued my card front base onto a piece of green cardstock, then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I glued the white circle over the middle of the front and used some foam tape to pop the sentiment up.
  • Finally, I added some blue bling around the sentiment.

Here is the stencil I used:

Thanks so much for taking a look.

  1. I love the combination of the Cracked Pistachio ink with the Salty Ocean Karen and the Open Coils stencil makes a bold background for your card, and the die cut happy birthday over the white circle makes it stand out beautifully. x
