Morning.
Just playing here with a new stencil I picked up from SSS. The Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoast was to create a masculine card so I was in.
I began by placing the stencil on my cardstock and using a small Versamark ink cube, dabbed it over my stencil. I then removed the stencil and using clear embossing powder and my heat gun, embossed the design. I then tapped some Bister (paint medium) over the embossing and sprayed with water. The embossing resisted the paint and it pooled in the grooves. Love the variation of colours you can achieve by using the Bister.
When all was dry, I stamped the sentiment using black Stazon ink.
I think it looks pretty masculine, don't you?

Fantastic!! The small space in the stencil really manages to block the water and concentrate the colors! Looks absolutely awesome!

This makes me think of tree rings. And yes, very masculine. I like how the embossing has resisted the Bisters.
What a cool card! I love how the colors settled around the embossing!
Very cool Karen, reminds me of when I used to work on the potters wheel, would make plates that resembled the pattern :)
