I have to say I was sad to see the tulips in my garden go. They have such a regal presence in the garden and seeing them in bloom confirms that Spring is here. I created my card for the CAS challenge at Splitcoast; to use your piercing tool and for the Simon Says Stamp challenge; anything goes. I began by masking the oval and sponging on Distress ink in blues. I then stamped the tulips from Penny Black and coloured them using Copic Markers. Added the sentiment then the piercing. I like how the piercing adds a frame to the sponged area.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful card, Karen! I love the tulips, too! That stamp set is one I have on my wish list - the flowers are so pretty.
A beautiful card. I love the use of piercing to make a frame for the tulips. Great colouring.
This coming weekend I am planting out my tulip bulbs. While your tulips are finishing flowering, mine are about to start growing - a neat circle.
Thank you for your kind comments on my blog
Beautiful card. Gorgeous colours and I like the way that the sentiment comes out of the oval.
