Morning.
Last month, this card won the challenge at Through The Craft Room Door.
So today, I have the honour of being the Guest Designer and here is the card I came up with.
The sponsor for this challenge is Sandi's Samples. Great digi images. The theme this month is 'Anything Goes' so hope you can play along.
(I wanted to use one of Sandi's images on my card but my printer died so I went with inks instead)
I love the look of watercolour and Distress inks are perfect for creating that look.
The small panel on the front was created by rubbing Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans and Dusty Concord Distress inks using a sponge in a circle design. I then took a paint brush with water and splattered and painted circles over the ink. Distress inks are water-based so the water removed some of the ink to leave a pattern behind. When that was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Daisy Bucket using Memento black ink.
Now for the card front. I used a stencil from SSS and sponged the same colours from above then painted over the ink with water again.
The small panel was then pop dotted over the stenciled background to finish off my card.
Love those colours together and adding the water gives it such an airy feel.
Also adding my card to these challenges:
Little Red Wagon- SEEING SPOTS
Seize the Birthday- CREATE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND
Simon Says- CLEAN and SIMPLE
Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.
Supplies: stamp- Daisy Bucket/ Distress ink/ Memento bl./ paint brush/ stencil-SSS/

Dreamy. So happy to be parked next to your beauty over at ATSAM. This should be wall art.
Oh, Karen, what dreamy colors...just love the combination and gorgeous card you've made!! Wow! And congratulations on winning the challenge with your other card (just popped over to see it - stunning)! I am learning to use Distress Inks myself and finding a lot of fun and seeing how fluid they are. You really have mastered them and use them so beautifully! Hugs, sweet friend!
Just gorgeous, Karen! Your cards totally amaze me! Thanks for joining us at Little Red Wagon :)

This is wonderful, Karen. As much as I know about DI reacting with water, I never thought to paint water over it. I will have to try this technique and hope I do as good of job as you did.
What a wonderful card design and I adore those colors together too!
Congrats on your GD spot, Karen! So well deserved! Love how you created this beauty, mf! So happy you could join us at ATSM!
