Good Morning and Welcome to March!
Meet one of the newest stencils from A Colorful Life Designs called
I inked it up and used a new to me fun fold for my card.
So, here's what I did.
- I put a piece of white cardstock onto my Make Art Station and placed the Jardiniere stencil over that. I inked up the center with some Cracked Pistachio and some Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink and the outer edges with some Peacock Feathers DOX ink.
- Next, I inked another piece of white cardstock with the same stencil and same ink colours.
- Following the video below, I folded one of the inked panels to create the shutter fold. It's a fun and simple fold to do and I love how it adds a frame around the center area.
- I cut down the 2nd panel to fit into the inside and stamped the sentiment onto it before gluing it into the inside.
- I glued the panel onto a piece of white cardstock, then some pale green and then onto a 4 1/3" square card base.
Here is the stencil I used:

This shutter fold is brilliant Karen and I love the mix of colours with the blue and green using this pretty stencil, and the 'handmade with love' on the shutter part is just perfect...a wonderful card. x
