Floral Thinking of You

Hello
Today's card was a pretty simple one I created using my Gel plate and this newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I began by getting out my Gel plate.  I pressed my Prize Ribbon and my Villainous Potion Distress ink pad directly onto my plate and using a brayer, I blended the colours together.
  • I laid the Dinnerplate Dahlias stencil onto the plate next and rubbed a piece of white cardstock over the plate to lift the print.
  • Next, I inked up a large Script stamp with some more of the Villainous Potion DOX ink, stamped off and then stamped right over the flowers to add more interest.
  • I stamped the sentiment along the bottom, then inked the edges of the white cardstock.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of white cardstock, then blue, then purple and then onto a white 4 1/4" square note card.
  • I added 2 black gems to the flower centers to finish off my card.

Here is the stencil I used:

Many thanks for coming to visit today.

Using the gelli plate is a great way to get the two colours mixed before pulling the print through the stencil to get the pretty purply blue dahlias Karen, and the added 2nd generation stamped script enhances the effect beautifully, and finished with a lovely black stamped sentiment and gems in the centres of the flowers. x
