Welcome
I'm playing again with my Gel Plate and the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called
So, here's what I did.
- I began by inking up my Gel Plate with some Prize Ribbon and some Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink. I take the ink pad, press it directly onto parts of the plate and then I use a brayer to blend the colours together. I love using the inks on my Plate instead of acrylic paint, it's such an easier clean up.
- Next, I splattered some water over the ink on the plate as I wanted to get the look of raindrops. I placed the Dinnerplate Dahlias stencil onto the plate, rubbed a piece of scrap paper over the plate to lift some of the ink off, then removed the stencil and rubbed over with my white cardstock to reveal the print.
- When the print was dry, I place the panel into my Misti to stamp the sentiment using some Wilted Violet DOX ink.
- I glued the panel onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto a piece of pale blue and then onto a 4 1/4" square white card base.
Here is the stencil I used:

AW! So lovely Karen, love how you used the dahlia stencil. Such a shame we can't get them in the UK. x
