Happiness is Fishing??

I have had little to no time to stamp this week although I have been off.  I did manage a card today for the challenge at Splitcoast, OLW101 hosted by Heather this week and also wanted to make a card for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.  I wanted to create a one layer card (easy to mail) for my son who is a die-hard fisherman.  I started by masking the partial circle and then used a mask from the Crafter's workshop and sponged on Distress Inks in shades of blue for the bkg.  I then added the fish and the circle border.
Thanks for coming by and taking a peek.
Supplies:  stamps; Paper Smooches, Recollections/ mask/ Distress inks/ twine

Love this - your distress shading is beautiful.

Love that dotty mask and the depth you get with the sponging. Fishing doesn't make me happy either (too many slimy things involved), but it works for some!

Hmmmmm...not sure about the "happiness is fishing" thing....though my ds was enjoying it big time (just yesterday) and my ew, ew, yucks when putting the worm on the line for him didn't seem to spoil it for him at all so maybe....;-)

Wonderful card!

Great idea... the fish is adorable swimming amongst all those watery-blue bubbles of fun!

What a cool background for your fish; your subtle colour changes look very water like.
