Friendship

Morning and meet today's card.  Stenciling is so very hot right now.  I have been playing with my stencils and trying to use them in different ways and this is what I came up with.
I inked the stencil with Distress inks instead of my paper, then laid the stencil down.  Then, using a baby wipe, I transferred the ink to the paper being sure to move the stencil slightly as I rubbed.  What I ended up with was a pretty, sort of mottled looking bkg.  Next, I stamped the flowers from Purple Onion with black Memento ink and added the sentiment.

I am adding my card to these challenges:

Keep it Simple- STENCIL

Moxie Fab World- STYLING WITH STENCILS

I so appreciate that you came to have a look...thanks so much!!

Supplies:  stamps-Rubbernecker, Purple Onion/ Memento bl/ stencil TCW/ Distress inks/ pop dots

Oh, my, Karen, this is sensational! I just love the colors with that bit of green with the blue. It's so striking, and it makes me want to play with some stencils! Wish we could stamp together for a day!!! I love it, and I especially love this sentiment! So true about friends, and you are one of my sweetest! Big hugs!

What a gorgeous card! That is one nifty stenciled background. I love the bold flowers and that greeting is the best. Better than the usual "I'd pick you" sentiment!
