Happiness Blooms

Meet today's card.  I am playing along with the Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoast this am.
The theme today is 'April Showers'.
It is pouring rain here today so good time to make a card.

I just recently picked up a set of watercolour crayons and have been playing with them.  I first wet the flowers with water then coloured directly on the stamp with the crayons.  I then sprayed on some more water and stamped.  It left a pretty watercolour impression which is what I was going for.
I stamped the fun sentiment from HA then splattered some diluted Salty Ocean Distress ink in the background to look like raindrops.  The card still looked like it needed something more so I sponged the edges with more Distress ink.  I edged the card with red cardstock to help perk up the colour.

I am also adding my card to these challenges:

What a gorgeous breath of spring with all those glorious blooms. So glad you are getting rain as the promised inch for us turned into just a few dribbles. So we are still lacking, but I agree a rainy day is a good time to craft. I adore the card you created too.

LOVE those water color flowers. I don't think I've ever tried water color crayons but I think I have some. You've inspired me to try something with them (assuming they really exist in my room).
