A Little Winter Blessing

Hello and Welcome
I must admit, winter is not my favourite time of year but I love snowflake themed projects, so I decided to embrace that feeling with this card I made using a newly released stencil for January from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a square piece of white cardstock and placed the Falling Dots over my paper then inked it up with some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink.
  • I lifted the stencil off, cleaned it and then turned it sideways.  I inked again but this time I used some Salvaged Patina DOX ink to give the background some colour variation.
  • I took the stenciled piece and placed it into my Misti to stamp the large snowflake right over the middle with some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink.
  • I stamped the sentiment in my Misti and then die cut it out.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of white cardstock, then blue and then onto a 4 1/4" square white card base.
  • I popped the sentiment over the snowflake with some foam tape.

Here is the stencil I used:

The Falling Dots stencilling done at right angles to one another makes a wonderful background Karen, and then that large stamped snowflake over the top looks so pretty, and all in these pretty shades of blue, and the popped up die cut sentiment finishes it beautifully. x
