What a fun card this new for May stencil from a Colorful Life Designs made.
So meet the newly released stencil called:
Here's what I did to create my card.
- I placed the Flower Rays stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked some of the flowers with some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink. Next, I inked some with Ripe Persimmon and some Broken China DOX ink.
- Leaving the stencil in place, I used a fine line black marker to trace around the outlines in the stencil to help define the flowers.
- Next, using the end of a pencil eraser, I added the dots in the same colours as the flowers.
- I stamped the sentiment in my Misti with some black ink and then die cut it into a circle.
- I glued my stenciled card front onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto a piece of pink and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
- I used some foam tape to pop the sentiment up over the background.
Here is the stencil I used:

Karen, I love how you took Carol's circle and made this colorful stenciled one! Happy colors and the black lines you made added such great definition! Thanks so much for playing at Just Us Girls this week for our CASE a DT challenge!
I love the daisy like look of the flower rays stencil and the added black marker lines around it all really makes the stencilling pop Karen, and the large circular sentiment plate looks great over the top. x
KAREN!! Ohmygosh! I'm absolutely thrilled that you drew inspiration from my card and stylized it to make this absolutely marvelous colourful stenciled rendition. Your cheery outlined flower rays and pencil eraser dots (very clever!) make for a delightful background; perfect for your circle sentiment. LOVE this - and thank you for joining us at Just Us Girls.
