Merry Wishes

Hello and Welcome
I wanted to create a card with a stamped background that would be my sentiment for the card.

I began by placing a piece of white cardstock inside my Misti, inked the 'Merry Christmas' with some grey ink and repeatedly stamped it by moving it around in my Misti.  It is so easy to create this kind of background using this great tool.
Next, I stamped the reindeer that is from a set by Recollections that I recently picked up on sale at Michaels with some Versamark ink and silver heat embossed it.  I then die-cut it out.
I had some leftover pieces of Yupo paper that I had inked with some Alcohol inks, so I cut out a circle and then glued the reindeer onto that to give my card a pop of colour.
I pop-dot mounted the circle over the sentiment background and then glued that over a piece of blue cardstock to help tie in with the blue of the circle and then onto a white card base.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Christmas Wishes

Meet today's card.
This one is more on the masculine side.

I had a piece of woodgrain paper leftover that I had made, tutorial HERE, and die-cut it into an oval shape using a Spellbinders die.  I die-cut the deer head twice and glued the pieces together for stability and added it over the woodgrain bkg.  I cut the leaves, also from the deer set, in red and glued it below the head.
I just picked up this new stamp from SSS called the Christmas Sweater and used it for my background.  I used my Misti to get the perfect stamped impression.
Lastly, I stamped the Hero Arts sentiment and pop dotted the deer head piece with pop dots.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is here.
Soon, we will be seeing shadows of Santa's sleigh in the sky!

Posting a few last cards that I made.  This one has a shadow-looking background.
I began by masking my white cardstock then inked the Hero Arts stamp with Grey Memento ink, stamped off and then onto my cardstock.  It gave me a faint, pretty background that I could stamp over top of.  Next, I got out my Misti and stamped the sentiment.  Using my Misti again, I coloured the snowflake with Memento markers, stamped then coloured with the dark blue onto the stamp, sprayed with water to blend the colours and stamped again over the light blue.
The finishing touch was a shiny blue jewel added to the center of the snowflake.

I am adding my card to these challenges:

Snowflake Patterns

Good Morning.
So sorry to be inundating you with Christmas cards but once I get started, I find it hard to stop!  I have made more this year then ever before.  Guess the holiday spirit gets my creative juices flowing.
So here is today's card.

I began by grabbing my MISTI and inked up this wonderful snowflake by painting on Brushos.  Love the blue on blue look it created.  I punched that out and set it aside.
Next, I inked the stamp with Memento Grey ink and stamped the snowflake to either side.  I scored the lines using my ScorPal and my ScorBug and stamped the sentiment.

You are Special to Me!

Here is a simple, quick card I made for a the Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast today.
The panel was a piece of leftover cardstock that I had inked by rubbing my Distress ink pad onto my non-stick craft sheet and spraying with water then dragging my paper through the wet ink.  I punched a circle at the top so I could stamping behind my pop dotted fish.
Hope you have a great weekend and thanks again so much for stopping by to take a peek.

Supplies:  stamps; WPlus 9, Recollections/ Distress ink/ Copic markers/ pop dots

OLW146- Splats and Splatters

Welcome to another week for the OLW Challenge (One Layer Wednesday).  This week the challenge is:

Splats and Splatters- add them to your card

I love adding splats and splatters to my cards.  I started my card by masking the center area and sponging on Distress inks.  Next I stamped the ink splats (Recollections Stamps) and then splattered by pressing my Distress ink pad onto my acrylic block and picking up the colour with a water pen and flicking it onto my card.  When dry, I sponged on more ink, added the sentiment (Daisy Bucket) and scored the lines.
I am also adding this card to the CASology Challenge: free (What does free mean to you?  To me it means having lots of free time to play with my stamps and ink.) and Free for All at Simon Says Stamp.

I really hope you get a chance to play along this week.  Here are all the details:

OLW146 Rules
