Hello and Welcome
Another card done for the holidays.
I do send out quite a few cards every year so I need a lot of them.
I picked up a new product to try and I have to say, it's a fun one.
It is the Simon Hurley Stamping Foam.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I began with one of the stamping foams (there are 4 in a pkg.). I heated it up with my heat tool as per the instructions and pressed it onto the Pine Tree Duo stencil. I held it there for moment to get a good impression. The foams are amazing. You can press them onto stamps, stencils or anything that has texture to create an impression.
- I inked the foam up with some Rustic Wildness Distress Oxide ink, gave a little spritz of water and pressed it onto the cardstock to create the background.
- Next, I masked around the inked area then I placed the piece into my Misti and stamped the Pine Trees from Impression Obsession with some Versafine Clair ink over the green trees.
- I dried the ink, then rubbed over it with my anti-static bag. I stamped the Friends background stamp over the whole thing with Versamark ink and white heat embossed it. It really added great interest to the whole thing.
- I glued the finished panel onto some green cardstock, then onto a heavy white card base.
- I pop dot mounted the pre-printed sentiment across the top.
Here is the stencil I used:
