Dudes Rule

In an effort to create some extra masculine cards to have on hand I took on the challenge at Penny Black today which was to create a one layer card.  Sometimes I struggle with creating them and so this stamp called Breezy was the perfect fit for making a masked, one layer card.  I used my Scor Pal and Scor Buddy to add the scoring lines.  I am also linking this one to the challenge at Simplicity which was to create a 'Dudes Rule' card.

Through the Trees

Happy Saturday...this week went by so fast!  In an effort to create more masculine cards to have on hand, I made this one to show you today and to play along with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast. 
I was playing with my Distress inks for the bkg. and created it by inking up my acrylic block, spraying with water then stamping.  The trees and the sentiment are from Mark's Finest Papers....a set I won last year.

Today I had time to play along with a couple of challenges at Splitcoast.  I used my branch stamp from Penny Black, coloured it using my Memento markers and sprayed with water before I stamped in the masked area.  I sponged on Distress inks and then added the sentiment from Paper Smooches.  The edges are distressed with a distressing tool.

Grow Giggles

I'm back today with a card I am entering into the challenge at Moxie Fab which is to use gingham on your card.  I just love how the grass turned out on my card.  I treated myself to some new stamps on Mother's Day and this set is one of them from Paper Smooches.  The flower is coloured using Copics, pop dotted for interest.

Glad to Be Back

hi there.....I am so happy to report that my surgery was a great success and I am feeling much better.  All your well wishes and emails helped so much...thank-you!! 

So I finally got around to making  a card for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays....to use a punch or die cut.  First I stamped the flowers from Enjoy 30-024 and embossed them in white.  The Big Wish 30-098 for the sentiment was stamped in black then I rubbed Distress Broken China ink over the whole image.  The frames are cut using a die from Spellbinders.  Thanks so much for coming by.

Sending Sunshine

Sorry, no card to post..... just sending a bit of sunshine your way.  As most of you know, I have been sick and seems I will need to have some surgery to remove my gall bladder next week.  Sure looking forward to feeling better and creating again.
