Big Wishes- The Flower Challenge

Welcome
Time for a very fun theme at

This month it's
Simple theme to create any card with flowers...and there's 2 great prizes this month from MFT.

Huge thanks to 'My Favorite Things' for sponsoring us, they are giving away two prizes. So we will choose two winners this month! Each will receive a gift card worth $25. Do check out their website as they have amazing crafty things to be seen there !

All our designers and also our guest designer Michele Ferguson have used their products ( kindly donated from MFT) on our cards. Our guest Designer this month is the talented Michele Ferguson. I am sure you all know Michele, she is an avid FC participant, she leaves so many comments for others and makes fabulous cards of course too !

So, I decided to create a clean and simple card using this great silhouette set from MFT.
I began by using my Marvelous Rectangle mask from a Colorful Life Designs and positioned it over my white card front as I wanted to be left with a clean, white border.
I placed the lace doily stencil over my paper and used some Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers DOX inks to rub over the stencil with a makeup blending brush.
I removed the stencil then placed the piece into my Misti.  I randomly stamped the flowers, then the sentiment using some black Memento ink.
Leaving my mask in place, I rubbed some Peacock Feathers along the edges of my card front then using my ScorPal, I scored a border all around the edge of the inked area giving it a framed look and added a few black gems for interest.
I glued that onto a piece of black cardstock then onto a plain white card base.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
I hope you will come and play along with us.

Complementary Colours- CAS Watercolour Challenge

Welcome
I can't believe that it is September already...wow, that summer when so quickly!
Happily though, it's time for a new theme at the

This month our theme is Complementary Colours.
Here is a colour wheel to help you with that:

We are so happy to welcome our special guest this month

So onto my card details.
I decided to use green and red as my complementary colours.  Now usually you would think Christmas, but I wanted to go for something else.
So, I got out this fun Peacock Feathers stamp and my Brushos.  I placed my paper into my Misti then I diluted some green and red Brushos with water to activate the pigments and painted onto the stamp with a paint brush.
I also sprayed the stamp with water to help further activate the colour and help them blend together.
I concentrated most of the greens to the bottom and the reds to the top, that way the colours wouldn't muddy up and make brown.
The Misti is an invaluable tool to use with this technique as you can repeat painting the stamp until you are happy with the results and coverage you have.
While that dried, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and white heat embossed it.  I pop dotted it over the dry image and mounted it onto a white card base.

I hope you come and play along with us.

My Other Blog

Well, I've decided to take on a new venture.
Call me crazy.
I guess it's from the happiness and satisfaction I see when people are creative.
Being creative brings many good things to our lives.
In this busy, hectic world, it can bring a sense of calm, satisfaction and time for ourselves.

I love creating with my little kiddos, so that's what this blog is all about.
If you are at all interested in creating with your little ones, take a peek.
I hope you can find some small bits of inspiration and have some fun.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
