Hello and Welcome!
Today, I am restocking my stash of sympathy cards.
I like to have them on hand so I can sent them out as soon as possible if needed.
I like a simple, clean design for this kind of a card.
Very simple card but can be a bit messy...truth be told, I don't mind getting a bit messy!
The technique I used on my card is called
So, I sprayed some inexpensive shaving cream into a shallow dish and dropped on some Distress re-inkers over the top. I pulled the colour into the shaving cream with the wooden end of a paintbrush, then picked up the shaving cream with a credit card and spread it over the top of my stencil. I lifted the stencil carefully, then removed the excess shaving cream with the clean edge of the credit card to reveal a lovely bkg.
When it was all dry, I stamped the sentiment and then splattered with some watered down ink.
Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.

Fabulous Karen. I have not tried this technique as yet, has always been on my
'to try' list but never seem to get around to it...great result here though.xx [aNNie]
This is so beautiful!
What a stunning effect! And so soft and perfect for a sympathy card.
I love this technique and must get out the shaving foam again soon. The colours are so pretty and this uncluttered design is perfect for a sympathy card Karen. x
Sympathy cards are so much nicer when they aren't over elaborate and this is just right. Sounds like a messy procedure though!!
I like this. It makes me think of architect somehow. Simple but messy!
You can find more uses for a credit card that don't require spending! I love it! A beautiful background, mf, and a lovely sympathy card!
Wonderful look and what an artistic background you did with the credit card.
Fun and messy technique..I'm in. Gorgeous card and love the effect x
Something I have actually tried, but couldn't get this kind of finish, so very Beautiful.

Beautiful card, I see a boat's sail when I look at it. Must be the aquatic colours!
Who but you would have thought to use shaving cream over a stencil! This turned out beautiful, Karen! Working with two kids tomorrow so I may have them try this while I try it too! Thanks for the awesome idea!
Great job with this technique, Karen. I have not tried this way of using shaving cream through a stencil. Your's turned out amazing. Always learning from you!! xx
I need to try that technique - such a nice effect to get marbling through a stencil. Beautiful colours!
gorgeous, I love the colours and that stencil is is fantastic. Great imprint using the credit card to spread the shaving foam, have to try it that way so clever:)
A wonderful look Karen!
Stunning and so beautiful!
I may have to get some reinkers for just this kind of project, Karen. I love it.
In all its simplicity it's beautiful! Thanks for leaving comments on my blog... very much appreciated. Did you have any difficulty posting them... I heard from people that the had difficulty posting a comment... I think that's why I don't get that much reactions lately, as I had a lot more a while ago.
A beautiful card! The background looks amazing. I'm reading the how-to, but I think I need to go find a video to follow exactly how this worked out so well. You are always so inspiring to me!
