Happy Friday. One step closer to a long weekend for us here in Ontario, Canada. Today, I am creating a simple 2 layer card and playing along with the challenge at Splitcoast.
I began my card by stamping the outline of the roses with black Memento ink. I then stamped the petals with shades of red Distress inks. This stamp set from Altenew is a three-step set which is wonderful for creating so many different looks for the flowers and great for watercolouring as well.
I masked the white portion of my card and splattered red ink over the roses to add depth. When that was dry, I stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations....I love the sayings especially the one that says 'paint outside the lines' which works perfectly with this stamp set.
