Happy New Year

Meet today's card.
I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas.
With the New Year almost here, I created a quick and easy card.

I began by using the snowflake stencil from SSS and rubbed Tumbled Glass Distress ink over the top.
To add some more depth and interest, I left the stencil in place and using various sized circle stamps, I stamped over it using darker shades of Distress inks.
I splattered on some acrylic paint, more blue ink and lastly some water to lift a bit of the colour.
I stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches in the bottom corner.
To add to the festive, celebration theme, I applied some shiny Nuvo Drops over some of the small circles.

Adding my card to these challenges:

Simon Says Wed.- ANYTHING GOES

Little Red Wagon- HELLO 2017

Shopping Our Stash- WINTER WONDERLAND

Paperminutes- New Year's Cards

Simon Says Monday- PARTY TIME

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Wow! You call this a quick and easy card, but it looks totally stunning! I love the way you did the background and made some elements stand out while others blend. The snowflakes in particular are especially gorgeous! And the sentiment is stamped so professionally that I thought it was die-cut with black cardstock! Kudos to your incredible stamping skills as this card came out beautifully! Happy 2017 to you and thank you so much for taking the time to share your inspiring pieces with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
