Brusho Snowflakes

Meet today's card.
It's not a secret, but I love stamping with snowflakes.  I don't know what it is about them, especially since I'm not a big fan of winter.  Maybe it's their intricate design.

I recently picked up Tim Holtz's Weathered Winter set and wanted to play with it.
I got out my MISTI and positioned the corner snowflake first.  I painted it with a little diluted Brushos, sprayed with water and stamped.  I repeated that process until I was happy with the look and went on to stamp the other two snowflakes.
After stamping the sentiment from The Stampin Place, I used some drywall tape to stencil the background.  I cut the piece out using a stitched die.
The finishing touch was the beautiful blue gem for a bit of bling.

Adding my card to these challenges:

Simon Says Monday- CHILL OUT

Have a great week and thanks for taking a look.

I've never tried to "ink" my stamps with Brushos. Another technique to try because it made gorgeous snowflakes! Love the sentiment too!

I love snowflakes too - and blue and white is my favourite colour combination. And I love Brushos. So needless to say, I love your card!! Wonderful colours from the brushos and great texture from the dry wall tape stencilling!

This is absolutely gorgeous. I love those distressed snowflake images, and the hues and technique you have used to stamp them is wonderful. FABULOUS sentiment. Snowflakes are each a miracle unto themselves. Thanks so much for linking up and playing along with us at AAA Cards.
