Enjoy the Little Things- The Flower Challenge

Good Morning
A new month means it's time for a new theme at

This month we are so happy to have a special sponsor and a great prize to be won.
Thanks to Altenew for offering a great stamp set to one lucky winner.

So onto my card details.
I began with a plain piece of heavy white cardstock and placed my rectangle mask from A Colorful Life Designs over that.  I rubbed on some Cracked Pistachio DOX ink at the bottom and some Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac at the top, blending the colours together.  When I was happy with the blending, I placed the Crossword stencil over the inky background and rubbed on some more Wilted Violet DOX ink.  I splattered it with some water to lift some of the ink and give more interest to the background.

While that dried, I stamped these flowers from the Charmed Altenew set with Versamark ink onto a piece of Yupo that had been previously inked up with Ranger Alcohol inks, then sprinkled on some Ranger Black Embossing powder and heat set.  I just got this black eb powder and I am really liking it.  It gives a good solid emboss to projects.
I took the embossed flowers and fussy cut them out.
Before pop dotting my flowers to my card front, I placed the inked piece inside my Misti, stamped the sentiment from the same Altenew set with Versamark and heat embossed it with some white embossing powder.
I doodled a border around the inking to pull it all together and then simple mounted it onto a white card base.

I hope you get a chance to come and play along with us this month and have a chance to win the stamp set from Altenew.

Here is the stencil I used:

Wow..Stunning fussy cut flower arrangement, Karen. I love how you stamped and heat embossed your flowers on a piece of Yupo alcohol ink background. Wonderful stenciled rectangle in the same colors for your background too. Your doodled rectangle really did bring all your images together. A work of art, my friend. Hugs..Nancy

I just bought that Altenew stamp and, seeing your card, makes me so glad that I did! What a truly beautiful card! Love the way you did the flowers with AI and fussy cut them. And you created a perfect Oxide ink background for them. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is so different and just stunning Karen and I adore the colours and the stencilling in the background with that beautiful group of flowers on the AI piece of Yupo, and the black embossing really stands out and complements the doodling round the edge. x

I just read that blue is the most popular color ever among people! So we are in the majority! Hehe! My friend, you've made a stunning card, and the colors are amazing. I love this image (which I have not used yet...but will), and what a sweet "background" using the stencil. I love it and love your amazing work. Always inspire me, sweet friend! Hugs and love! xoxo

So gorgeous! I am petrified of using black embossing powder (let alone on Yupo!), but it seems to pack such a powerful punch. I love this!

The alcohol ink flowers are gorgeous, Karen, and their colors stands out even more with the black heat embossing. I love the double inking on the stencil and how your doodling brings it all together.

What a stunning card Karen - love the way you have made the background with loads of interest, yet it complements the stunning flowers, rather than competing with them.
Blessings
