Hello and Welcome
This month, I have the pleasure of hosting the
I thought this would be a fun theme and the perfect chance to create some fun cards to have on hand for the little ones in our lives. It's sure to be a fun, happy gallery this month.
We welcome our Guest this month Bobby from Bits and Pieces.
So onto my card.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and die-cut a circle shape using a die from Spellbinders. I placed the piece inside my Misti then stamped the flower girl image into the center of the circle. Using a wet paintbrush, I painted her in with some Candied Apple and Fired Brick DOX inks and then used some Copics for her legs, face and cheeks.
When she was all dry, I covered the petals of the flower with some Rangers Glossy Accents to add a shine then I pierced all around the edge of the circle to add interest.
Onto my card front. I rubbed some Spiced Marmalade onto my non-stick craft mat, sprayed with water and picked up the ink with an old credit card. I dragged the ink down the side of my card front until I was happy with the inking. I dipped the edge of the credit card into the red Candied Apple DOX to create the lines you see over the orange. I added some splatters with the leftover red ink. It reminded me of a fun yellow plaid when done.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment, pop dotted the image over the sentiment and then mounted it all onto a plain white card base.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Hope you come and play along with us.

Any "little" girl would love this colourful and beautiful card.
The inks sound yummy, as are their colours.

I love the sweet image and the bright yellow (DOX Spiced Marmalade looks more yellow than orange, so different to the ordinary DI), and red in the background makes a sort of a check pattern with the ink dragged down and across, and the red lines in both directions...cleverly done Karen. x
What a fun card Karen and what a super cute image. Her cheeks are adorable and love how you did the red flower garland. The credit card technique looks fabulous and what a wonderful card full of colour and fun x.
What a fabulous card Karen, love the little flower person, beautifully coloured and designed, Kate x x
Sweet! Adorable image and love the colouring and the glossy accents for shine. Piercing around the circle makes it even more special. And I always love to see your credit card stamping, dragging technique. It always looks amazing. The fun, bright colours all tie in together beautifully. Thanks for this fun challenge, Karen! xx
This is darling!! I love the fun watercolor border you created!

Oh. My. Goodness. How adorable!! I love that image, and the way you've colored it. The way you created that inked panel on the left is so clever. What a great result!! Thank you for sharing this playful sweetness with us at Time Out!
Such a happy and adorable card! Thanks for the fun theme:)
Your sweet image totally makes me smile Karen and you've water colored her just beautifully too!! And LOVE your yellow plaid background...so cool looking! This card would definitely light up a child's (or even a BIG kid!) face!! FUN challenge!! :0)
Okay, this little flower girl gave me an instant smile! Then I went on to read how you did the painterly, sort of graphic border, and now I'm totally wowed! That is so cool, Karen! This is a fun challenge and I'm definitely playing along!
Such a darling card. The coloring is lovely and bright and I love the stroked abstract background. Thank you so much for joining us on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Xx Ankita
