Welcome.
I needed a sympathy card, not always an easy one to create. I usually use muted colours for that type of card, but this time I decided to go brighter and celebrate the life well lived.
I haven't played with this stencil from Altenew for so long, so it was time.
So onto my card details.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and masked the edges as I wanted a crisp white border. The stencil I used is a 2-part, so I placed the first one down and rubbed some Carved Pumpkin DOX ink over the top. I removed that stencil and positioned the over lay (it adds the flower petal details) stencil on top and rubbed it with some Fired Brick DOX ink. These 2 colours looked great together.
I dried the piece then placed it into my Misti to stamp the sentiment.
I removed the mask and doodled in a framed line.
I mounted the piece onto a contrasting piece of brown cardstock then onto a heavy white card base.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

The stenciling works well as a background for your sympathy sentiment. This is lovely.
Just lovely Karen, and I think the brighter colours work so well, I love the font of the sentiment, Kate x

So very beautiful and I love the colors of the flower.
I don't have any 2-part stencils - they look really neat! Love the colours you used and the doodled edges.

Muted tones are the usual on a sympathy card, but I must admit that I did appreciate some of the more brightly coloured cards I received - this is fabulous Karen - love it!
