Starburst Christmas

Hello and Welcome
It's my turn to host the TLC (Technique Lovers Challenge) over at Splitcoast Stampers this week.
I've chosen a fun technique called:

So here's what I did to create my card.
  • I started by looking through my gel prints for my card, but you could use any scraps you have or even some designer paper you have on hand.  I found these green ones....some I did with stencils, some with bubble wrap on the Gel Plate.
  • I followed the directions (link and video found above) and cut my strips 1" wide, then cut them into a wedge shape.
  • I wanted my starburst to focus on the top, so I started gluing my pieces down by starting in the center and then continued gluing the pieces out to the sides from there, leaving a bit of white space between each one.  I tried to mirror my papers from one side to the other, but you don't have to do that, I just liked the look.
  • While that dried, I took another piece of inky paper in greens and die cut the Holly and Pine frame wreath.
  • I glued the finished starburst onto a piece of green cardstock, then onto a heavy white card base.
  • I glued the wreath over the starburst and added the green gems.
  • I stamped the sentiment strip onto a piece of white cardstock, then pop dot mounted it over the wreath

Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.
