Starry Nights

Good Morning
Today's simple card features a new released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I got out an older released stencil called Marvelous Masks Arch and placed one of those stencils onto a piece of white cardstock. I inked that up with some Shaded Lilac, Broken China and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink.
  • Leaving that stencil in place, I put the Diagonal Stars stencil right over it and inked with some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink.
  • I moved the stencil around and inked again to fill in some of the open areas.
  • Using my white Posca pen, I added some dots to the stars and splatters to the whole card front to look like snow.
  • When it was all dry, I glued my card front panel onto a piece of dark navy cardstock, then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the foiled sentiment over the panel and finally, added some silver gems that matched the silver sentiment.

Here are the stencils I used:

I love the arched masked shape and the colour blend from violet through blue to green Karen, and I love the darker blue for the stencilled diagonal snowflakes, and the silver gems, white Posca Pen dots and shadowed black on white sentiment all work brilliantly. x
