Sympathy cards are never easy to make, so I like to have some on hand in case I need one. 

This card is a very simple one that I did in the summer (it's winter here now, so no leaves) on the Gel Plate.

So, here's what I did to create my card.

• I got out my Gel Plate and pressed my Distress Oxide ink pads directly onto the plate using these colours:  Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon and some Lumberjack Plaid.
• I roughly blended the colours together using my brayer and then placed the leaf from my garden onto the plate.
• I took a piece of white cardstock and rubbed it over my whole plate firmly to be sure and get the leaf image onto the paper.
• TO GET THE LOOK OF THIS PRINT.....I lifted the paper up slightly off my plate but not all the way, removed the leaf and then rubbed the paper back down again. By doing this step, you will print the details of the leaf onto your paper.
• I placed the print into my Misti to stamp the sentiment.
• I glued the print onto a piece of white cardstock, then a piece of pale blush and then onto an A2 sized white base.
