Vintage Blue

Welcome to the weekend!!  Here is the card I made for a few challenges:  the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast today; the Focal Point challenge at Moxie Fab and the CAS-ual Friday challenge which was to add embossing to your card.
I masked the center circle and stamped the woodgrain first.  When it was dry, I stamped the sentiment and embossed with clear.  I pierced around the circle then added the die cut flowers.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.  Have a great weekend!

Just Dropping In

Here is a card I made for a challenge at Splitcoast today; to use apple red; another challenge at A Blog Named Hero and the Movement challenge at Moxie Fab.  I just picked up this cute little guy by The Cat's Pajamas and used him with my Hero Arts city scene.  The bkg. and the sentiment are embossed with clear to make them pop.  The parachute is paper pieced and the bunny is pop dotted for interest.
Thanks for dropping in to take a look.

Lifting Your Spirits

Here is a card I made for the Colour Challenge at Splitcoast today...to use grey, brown and green and the Focal Point challenge at Moxie Fab.  I am loving this postage die so I started by stamping the birdfeeder and then cut it out with the die.  I then sponged on Distress ink while the paper was still in the die.  I coloured the birds with Copics, added the sentiment and then pop dotted the whole panel.
Hope you have a great week...thanks for coming by and taking a look.

Geeky Best Friends

Here is a silly little card I made for a special friend.  This image from The Old Island Stamp Company always makes me smile.  I altered it a bit by drawing on the glasses.  The girls dresses are paper pieced and the rest is coloured with Copics.  The score line is done using a Scor-bug seen here:

Many Thanks

Here is today's card as I am playing along with the Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoast and the Repetition challenge at Moxie Fab.  This card came together quickly and I was pleased with the final results.  I stamped the spools then cut them out so I could wrap the twine around them.  Added them over the dots for interest and the sentiment I had in my stash works great with these images.
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and thanks so much for dropping by.

My Friend

It's the long weekend and I can't believe where the summer has gone!!  How can that be?
Here is the card I am showing today...getting ready for the Fall to arrive and school to start on Tuesday.  I used the new Foliage Fancy from Penny Black for the leaves.  They are really neat because there is a solid and and an outline for each leaf in the set.  That gives you so many options in using that set.  For my card what I did was stamp the outlines first randomly around the outside of my card and then embossed with white powder.  Then I took the solid image and applied various colours of Distress inks and sprayed with water before stamping on top of the outline.  I was very pleased with the colour variations I was able to achieve.  I added the lines and the Friendship sentiment to finish it off.
I am adding this to the Movement challenge at Moxie Fab.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful wknd. and thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
