Welcome
It's not easy to create sympathy cards, but I need to add some to my stash.
So today I am playing with the new for September stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:
Here's what I did to create my card.
- I placed the Leafy Heart Frame stencil over a piece of white cardstock and picked out some Distress Oxide inks in Fall colours.
- Next, I randomly inked with Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon, Lumberjack Plaid and some Rustic Wilderness until all the leaves were inked.
- I placed the stenciled panel into my Misti to stamp the sentiment across the middle of the heart.
- I glued the panel onto a piece of red cardstock, the onto an A2 sized white card base.
- I added 3 black gems under the sentiment to finish my card off.
Here is the stencil I used:
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

What a beautiful stencil, and you have used it wonderfully here Karen. I love a colourful sympathy card, and this speaks of hope as well as expressing your sympathy so eloquently.
