Happy Saturday!
Today's card combines 2 of the new stencils for September from A Colorful Life Designs called:
These stencils work perfectly together to create any Fall/Autumn inspired cards.
So, here's what I did to create my card.
- I placed the Filigree Leaf stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Distress Oxide inks in these colours: Rustic Wilderness, Ripe Persimmon, Lumberjack Plaid and Fossilized Amber.
- I set that aside to dry and then placed the Falling Leaves stencil on one side of another piece of white cardstock and inked it again with the above mentioned colours. I moved the stencil over to the other side of my cardstock and inked again, creating a trail of leaves down the left and right hand side of my card front.
- Next, I fussy cut out the Filigree Leaf by just following along the leafy edges.
- I glued my stenciled card front to a piece of dark red cardstock and then onto an A2 sized white card base.
- I used some foam tape to pop the large leaf over the background.
- I popped the sentiment strip over the leaf to finish off my card.
Here are the stencils I used:
