Happy Saturday.
Happy to have a bit of playtime as I wanted to make another card using the
In case you missed my post, you use tape to pressed onto an ink pad and apply it to your cardstock.
To see my tutorial click the link above.
I wanted a nice white border so I took some Post-It Tape that I use for masking and tore it in half. That gave me a rough cut opening to apply ink and stamp onto instead of a straight line border.
Next, using my Distress Oxide inks (Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Candied Apple), I applied ink using some Painter's tape randomly over the background until I was happy with the coverage.
Next, I placed the piece inside my Misti and stamped my flowers with some more of the Candied Apple which was the darkest colour on my background.
I removed my masked edge tape and mounted it simply onto a piece of red cardstock.
Have a great weekend.

This looks like a fun technique! Your cards with this tape inking then stamping look terrific!
These colors are so pretty together, Karen! Love the irregular masking! This design would be pretty in blue too. Hmm. Maybe I'll get a chance to try it.
Another wonderful card using that technique. Great colors too!
Lovely card, Karen! Another technique to put on my list to try too.
beautiful colour combo :)
Love the rough outline to the coloured panel. Great use of the masking tape - I still need to get a card made for that challenge (too busy in the garden this week!). And beautiful colour combination too!
Simply beautiful card using your masking tape stamping technique. Love your color combo and stamped flowers. TFS Karen. Hugs.
The irregular edges add to the artistic look to your card, Karen. The colors work beautifully together.
Such a wonderful effect. Love the colours, the way you masked off the frame and the technique is so very effective. Stunning card x

Brilliant fiery colours Karen and love the flower stamp you have used over the painter's tape background, and love the rough cut edges for a different look. The coordinating red layer suits it perfectly. x

What a great use of the technique, and I love that you used one of the background inks to stamp your image with.
